Hello everyone!! My name is Alyssa and I am a 4th year nutrition student at university.
I am a small town girl with a passion for food. In my spare time, I like to bake, read cookbooks, watch cooking shows, sew and spend time with my friends and family.
Ever since I was little I have always had a strong and positive relationship with food. I was a lucky child, for I have one of those mothers that loves to cook and bake, and so while growing up there was always something yummy in the kitchen for me and my brother to sink our teeth into. When my mother baked, she would make the most lovely treats for us: fluffy iced cakes...airy whipped desserts...and dozens of ooey gooey cookies. But now I have grown up and I have picked up my mother's love for baking. But in particular, as I'm sure you have already guessed, the one thing I love to make the most is cupcakes!
I fell for these miniature cakes before they became the popular stars of reality T.V shows like Cupcake Wars or Cake Boss (although I do love that show ♥ !). They are simple to bake, can often be much less time consuming to make than layered cakes, and of course they can be decorated in any way, shape or fashion your imagination so desires!
In this blog I will be posting recipes for different types of cupcakes as well as show you some great decoration tips and tricks.
